Christian Gobrecht designed the $5 Liberty Gold Half Eagle. It was stuck by the U.S. Mint between 1839 and 1907. It's the longest running design of any U.S. coin! Classic U.S. gold coins are a great way to own collectible gold. Their vintage designs take us black to the "good old days." They were struck at the Philadelphia, New Orleans, San Francisco and Denver Mints. Many dates are reasonably priced, so you can add a number of $5 Liberty Gold Half Eagles to your collection.
